Our skin is permeable, constantly exchanging matter with the environment. This fluidity makes the physical body dynamic and adaptable. Avatars, on the other hand, are fragments of our identities, and idea of skin is introduced to avatars to represent our virtual existence.
This project aims to bridge the gap between our digital and physical selves by extending the avatar's skin to connect with our real, breathing skin. By creating a juxtaposition between the two skins, the project facilitates communication between our digital and physical identities.
The project unfolds the UV maps of the digital avatar models, and is imbued with electronics as the generation of avatars heavily relies on data, algorithms, and servers.
